The
Guildford and South West Surrey Voluntary Group
has been in existence successfully
for over twenty years. The Group has three
aims:
Education
-
to keep local people with diabetes
informed of how best to look after
their
condition
so that they can live as rewarding
a
life as possible.
Fundraising
– to
support the national organisation Diabetes
UK and local causes to provide
the best service possible to people with diabetes.
Socialising
– talking
to other people with diabetes is not only sociable
but can be highly
informative as well.
The Group has been
involved in a number of high profile campaigns
and is well connected
to healthcare professionals, healthcare managers,
politicians and others who influence the
shape of local diabetes healthcare delivery.
